    Gugenheim for Trondheim
    By GVS*

Waffle model of Gugenheim in Trondheim will be designed at DORA Kulturbunker during April 16, 2010

The distinguished waffle art masters Nina Rydjord and Bjørn Øyangen from Sponhuset in Ringvebukta will create a new recipe for compelling waffle model of Guggenheim in Trondheim. Sharing this with international team of artists and architects they will test ecology of edible design for the museum from the future. Come and taste a passion and a science of waffle-making on Friday April 16 from 6-8PM.

    * The Gugenheim Visibility Study (GVS) started in 2008 as a research group conceived to interrogate the geographies of the Vilnius Guggenheim Museum project and produce a set of viable alternatives in response to questions of spatial justice**.

** In his lecture Seeking Spatial Justice and the Right to the City held at Harvard GSD Edward Soja draws on creative resistance as struggle over geography to theorize notion of spatial justice and quotes Edward Said from his book Culture and Imperialism: Just as none of us are beyond geography, none of us is completely free from the struggle over geography. That struggle is complex and interesting because it is not only about soldiers and cannons but also about ideas, about forms, about images and imaginings”.
